From Tuesday 20 June, you will be able to explore The Windrush Collection; a fantastic installation that offers an authentic glimpse into a Black British Caribbean home, created by Tony Fairweather.
The installation includes a recreation of the Caribbean Front Room (Living Room) and Bedroom, showcasing some of the iconic 1940-70’s furniture held dear by many Caribbean households including a glass fish, wallpaper, a drinks bar, a Blue-spot Gram cabinet, patterned carpets and the infamous pail!
For many, this exhibition is an authentic, evocative walk down memory lane, which they can take with younger friends and family members.
