Support The Next Generation of Black Creativity
The Bernie Grant Arts Centre develops and presents new and cutting edge multi-disciplinary work, prioritising Black artists and Black-led work in our programming and commissioning. We invest in the creativity of Black artists, developing new audiences for their work and providing valuable career opportunities that support a diverse pipeline of artistic talent for our country. BGAC remains one of the only dedicated multi-art form spaces for Black/Global Majority-led practice & the only not-for-profit cultural venue in Tottenham.
We strive for a world where Black-led work is given the space and status to thrive and provide space for Black artists to create, develop and experiment away from the assumptions and tokenisms of mainstream institutions. Our charitable objects empower us to invest in the creativity of Black artists, create engagement opportunities for underrepresented and underserved audiences, and support local creative businesses. Our focus is on Tottenham, but the impact of our work has local, national and international reach.
Our community and engagement work is at the heart of who we are. Because we focus on Black led work we are able to create meaningful, authentic engagement within our local communities that aims to inspire, provoke and bring joy.
