#TLF23 TALK: Joelle Avelino: Mama’s Sleeping Scarf
Join illustrator Joelle Avelino as she leads an interactive reading and drawing session based on her book Mama’s Sleeping Scarf. This beautiful family story, written by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, follows a young girl called Chino as she plays with her mama’s sleeping scarf and weaves together little incidentals of home life into a glorious celebration of the power of a mother-daughter relationship.

#TLF23 Talk: Dr Ronx: AMAZING BODIES
Join the incredible Dr Ronx in this family friendly interactive session in our Theatre, that will test your children’s knowledge, as Dr Ronx takes them through a fun filled whistle stop tour of our human body.

As part of #TLF23, we are giving away free copies of AMAZING BODIES, by award-winning trans non-binary emergency doctor, CBBC’s Operation Ouch! presenter, and activist Dr Ronx. Children can pick up a copy of Dr Ronx’s AMAZING BODIES. Copies will be available at BGAC during the festival week and in participating libraries.
