Welcome to RSL x Book Slam, where London’s leading literary juke joint brings together writers and readers for a high-energy night of page and stage and established stars rub shoulders with some of the hottest new talent.

First up is ‘Love, Legacy and Transformation’, which sees actor turned award-winning writer Paterson Joseph on encountering the work of James Baldwin, bestselling author Dorothy Koomson on creating thrill-seeking, plot- twisting, hi-octane thrillers, and the Booker Prize-winning legend that is Bernardine Evaristo revisit Mr Loverman, her beloved 2013 novel, adapted to brilliant effect on the BBC.

We’ve also got wordsmith and sound artist Belinda Zhawi turning the tables on the turntables, an artist-run drop-in literary craft table featuring poet and artist Sophie Herxheimer, writer and editor, Sareeta Domingo, poet and MC Yomi Sode and a bookstall from New Beacon Books.
