HARINGEY FEAST | JASMINE KAHLIA
Saturday 4 November 2023
Perform beatboxing & live looping at Alexandra Palace with Jasmine Kahlia!
Haringey Feast is bringing together Haringey’s creators, cultural organisations, and residents to celebrate everything creative our unique borough has to offer.
This is building up to a spectacular free celebration of Haringey’s creativity at Alexandra Palace on Sunday 19 November 2023. Everyone will come together around a giant table to enjoy music, performances, and experience incredible local creativity.
Leading up to the day, free workshops, and maker classes, led by local creatives will be held across the borough – in schools, libraries, care homes, arts venues, and community centres and more, including Jasmine Kahlia.
Jasmine Kahlia is bringing live looping to the community!
Introductory Beatbox and Vocal Looping workshops will show you how to make simple beatbox motifs and live looping alongside popular songs, such as Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars! Through this electronic music interpretation of rhythm, beats and connection, an inclusive atmosphere for all participants will be created.
These workshops will work towards a final performance at Alexandra Palace on Sunday 19 November. No previous experience needed.
Simply send an email if you are interested in trying out singing, rapping or beatboxing!
Explore the Haringey Feast website to find out more about the project. This Haringey Feast opportunity is completely free of charge.
Haringey Feast is funded by a Cultural Impact Award, awarded to exemplary individual projects as part of the Mayor of London’s London Borough of Culture programme.
