For 20 years Breakin’ Convention has been revolutionising the hip hop scene in London and across the world.

To celebrate this big birthday they’re bringing Open Art Surgery to Tottenham to break down the fourth wall and showcase raw talent and new work.

Six hip hop theatre acts present brand new short works devised and developed in just one week with mentorship from hip hop theatre aficionados like Jonzi D. You are then invited to critique, feedback and ask questions to the artists involved.

The focus is to develop theatre skills within hip hop artists and experiment with new ideas that could be developed further in the future.

A chance to delve into the mind and souls of some of the finest hip hop acts, this is an unmissable event in the Breakin’ Convention calendar.

Breakin’ Convention celebrates their 20th festival on 28 Apr – 1 May at Sadler’s Wells.
