Scratch That #2

26 March

The S+K Project; developing a new generation of emerging talent.

Scratch That is a specialist artist development programme led by S+K’s Literary Associate Myah Jeffers and guest director for 2018 Emily Aboud. The programme runs in six week cycles, with a bi-monthly event at Bernie Grant Arts Centre

The S+K Project’s series of literary-focused events comes to the Mezzanine at Bernie Grant Arts Centre, showcasing the early stages of new work by emerging artists from all walks of life.

Developing a new generation of emerging talent, this is more than just your ordinary scratch night. Each of the featured pieces have been developed with our Literary Associate Myah Jeffers (Talawa, Company Three, BAC) and Associate Director Emily Aboud (Bush Theatre, Hampstead Theatre, Theatre503) over a number of intensive sessions interrogating the respective scripts.

Now, for the first time, these early-career writers have the chance for their work to be brought to life at an informal rehearsed reading by Tottenham-based actors, allowing their words jump from page to stage. With a focus on pushing the form that theatre can take, join us for a night of revolutionary performance from writers whose stories need to be told the most – plus Q&As with the writers and your chance to network with industry professionals.

Tickets: £7.50 Full, £5.00 Concession tickets (25 and under and Tottenham residents, requires ID)
