One woman’s struggle for survival segues into an intense love triangle

For Samia, danger is never far away. She risks everything to make a new life in France away from her domineering radical Islamist brother. As an undocumented refugee and a single woman, she faces scrutiny and discovery by police.

At first making links with an old friend Imed, she seeks hope and a future working under the glamorous Parisian Christine as her domestic helper. A blend of infatuation, desire and fear forms between the three protagonists in this spicy, sordid and sincere melodrama.

After three highly-acclaimed feature films (Red Satin, Buried Secrets and Tunisian Spring), this is Raja Amari’s fourth film. Foreign Body enjoyed success at Film Africa, Toronto International Film Festival and Berlin International Film Festival
