Inspired by the true story of Siseko Ntondini and Piers Cruickshanks, who together won gold in South Africa’s 2014 Dusi canoe marathon, Beyond the River delivers a nail-biting adventure story about the triumph of the human spirit.

Indigo tells the story of a creative young man who one day makes a trip through his hometown of south-east Amsterdam to pay a visit to his grandmother. Along the way he meets different figures, friends and family members each of whom shares a life lesson. The film highlight themes of spirituality, music and creativity, the revolution, and empathy.
