Oprah Winfrey plays Sethe, an escaped slave haunted by her past and the actions of her escape. A poltergeist rules the house, pushing away her two sons and strickening her daughter. An old friend John D (Danny Glover) comes to force it out. However the past won’t remain buried, and a strange woman named Beloved comes into their lives, causing turmoil. Powerfully emotive with its themes of slavery with spiritual highs and lows, Beloved will stay with you long after it ends.
