A Mother Speaks is a one woman published play that was performed at the Hackney Empire. The story is of a mothers reaction to losing her teenage son to youth crimes and we experience her joy of motherhood to his last day. This play was solely performed by a woman but for the new adaptation now includes 2 male actors.

This not a performance but a sit down reading to the audience followed by open discussion with the audience relating to the subject matter.

This event is produced by Batchelor of the Arts Theatre

Judd Batchelor is a writer, producer and actress living and working in London. This is her first published play, which was premiered at London’s Hackney Empire, directed by Susie McKenna and produced by Simon James Collier.
