We are a bold and dynamic multi-arts venue that supports and champions innovative new work by Black artists. The Bernie Grant Arts Centre was recently awarded Elevate Funding from the Arts Council England to help achieve our artistic mission. To help us realise our mission, we are recruiting a Fundraising Manager, Commercial Development Manager and Facilities Manager.

Now more than ever, we are looking to build a team who is dedicated to shaping our future, with a creative and entrepreneurial spirit. The current health crisis means it is essential for us to adapt and discover fresh ways to deliver our work as an arts hub in the community of Tottenham. 

Due to the temporary closure of our buildings, we are pausing applications for our Facilities Manager and Commercial Development Manager roles, until further notice. We will update our website with more information as the situation is reviewed in the coming weeks.

Applications are remaining open for our Fundraising Manager role. The deadline for applications has been extended, and will now close on Tuesday 14 April. Interviews will take place by video call on Tuesday 21 April.

Fundraising Manager (fixed term)
We are looking for a dedicated and driven Fundraising Manager. Working closely with the Executive Team, you will devise and deliver a strategy to secure income through carefully targeted sources such as trusts & foundations, corporate sponsorship, and individual giving.  Through securing innovative and relevant funding, you will play a crucial role in helping us to achieve our ambitious plans for the future. This is a fulfilling role which will assist in the delivery of revitalised programme of creative partnerships locally, nationally and internationally.

This role is fixed term, with a temporary contract starting in April 2020 until 31 December 2021.

Commercial Development Manager (fixed term)
We are seeking an entrepreneurial and motivated Commercial Development Manager to play a crucial role in the development of our commercial strategy at an exciting time of organisational growth. Reporting to the Executive Director, your role will be to help us maximise the potential income generation across our property, leases, hires and other commercial assets.  You will lead on developing a strategic approach to unlocking new and innovative revenue opportunities around our site. You will be ambitious and relish the prospect of securing new, sustainable revenue streams to help us make the arts accessible for all.

To succeed in these roles you will be able to display a commitment to and understanding of our key audiences and stakeholders.  You will be able to demonstrate a successful track record in fundraising and/or growing new areas of commercial income.  You will be skilled at developing campaigns and strategies that will increase revenue and raise brand awareness.

BGAC Commercial Development Manager Job description

 

Facilities Manager (permanent)
We are seeking a resourceful, and practical Facilities Manager.  They are responsible for maintaining the three buildings on the campus and ensuring they are in a clean and fit state for use.  The Facilities Manager plays a key role within the operations team and works closely with colleagues across the organisation to ensure events run smoothly. They are responsible for managing a small team of staff who provide cleaning, maintenance, and security services. They play a key role in completing small maintenance repairs, whilst creating a proactive schedule of building maintenance and supports on larger capital building projects.
