The Funk Physics Ltd company launched in March 2007 in order to combat the lack of resources vital to Hip hop and Street Dance performers across the globe.
Supported by the Princes Trust and the London Youth Support Trust, Funk Physics was created to encourage and support the progress of both underground and commercial dance performers, including those braving the competitive entertainment industry today. With the combination of a dance training facility and online support systems, Funk Physics aims to reduce the difficulties faced by dancers entering one of the most exclusive and competitive professions.
By giving dancers an opportunity to be the best they can be - offering advice on training, marketing, management, finance, health & fitness - Funk Physics works to strengthen the link between dancers as individuals and the powerful entertainment and media industries. The outcome? An increase in the amount of exposure for talented dance performers and a higher level of performance quality for the industry.
Funk Physics also endeavours to provide access to the benefits of dance (health & fitness, social skills, confidence, self-esteem, motivation & discipline) for those not wishing to pursue a professional career. Funk Physics believes that everybody should have the ability to experience dance regardless of age, background, belief or social status and so offers classes and advice from a beginner level to suit.
