In addition, it is recognised that the creative and cultural sector still largely excludes working class, black, Asian and minority ethnic communities, particularly in positions of power and leadership roles. These factors are the context in which the BGAC works and they inform the range of training, professional development and learning opportunities. The programmes constitute the principal activity of the BGAC and are, in the majority of cases, be delivered in partnership with other organisations.
With a 274 seat auditorium, 60 seat studio/rehearsal space, café/bar, there are no competitors with BGAC in the locality and no other venue in the vicinity of Tottenham has a performing arts facility of a comparable standard. In addition, there is an enterprise unit with 19 workspaces; meeting room; shared kitchen and WCs. It has a self contained rehearsal space with office and changing facilities.
