Conversations with Community Heroes
We are fortunate that in our lifetime we have seen and heard some of the best reggae music and sounds that the industry has to offer. Reggae music was the lifeblood of Black people during the 1970's and 80's, and it's heroes included people who wrote the music, played the music and sold the music. Dennis Bovell, Fatman Sound System and Body Music [Fitzroy] were all instrumental in ensuring that the food of love was provided to the great British public during that time. Come and hear how they did it. What it took for them all to ensure that the music was heard, purchased and danced to.
