15 June 2017 - 7.30pm

Cree filmmaker Neil Diamond takes an entertaining and insightful look at the portrayal of North American indigenous people throughout a century of cinema. The documentary features clips from classic filmsas well as recent releases, tracing the evolution of the so-called ‘Hollywood IndianDiamond deftly guides the audience through some of cinemas most iconic landscapes and conducts candid interviews with celebrities such as Clint Eastwood, Robbie Robertson and Jim Jarmusch. The film is a loving look at cinema through the eyes of the people who appeared in its very first flickering images and who have survived to tell their stories in their own way.

(Canada 2009 - Dir. Catherine Bainbridge, Neil Diamond and Jeremiah Hayes. English, 88 mins)
