What Are You Doing Here Mate?
25 February 2017 - 4pm & 7:30pm

"...that was a night I will never forget! Awesome, harrowing, influencing storytelling. Well done to all the dancers and team involved! #waydhm"

Join Phoenix Community Care and Pamodzi Productions for What Are You Doing Here Mate?, a collaborative dance theatre production exploring personal stories from the refugee crisis.

Already performed in Portsmouth to great acclaim, this production is an ambitious initiative that had refugees and asylum seekers interviewed to help create a musical score. Lead choreographers worked with dancers and actors to bring these stories to life. This production fuses theatre, breakdance, ballet, tap and African dance.

"Nurturing the expressive vision of the south coast" - Kenrick Sandy, Artistic Director, Boy Blue Entertainment

Producer: Roni Edwards
Dramaturge: Gail Oakley
Creative Consultant : Kenrick 'h20' Sandy
Originally Directed By: Bernie Byrnes
Lead Dancers: Sasha "Mr Sasha" Alexander Biloshky, Rachel Stella Layton, Grace Hall, Brendan 'Syxx' Isaac, Kelsey Miller & Charlie Glen Rust
